Welcoming pub with a few tables outside and AK and Country Bitter from McMullens on handpump, quality fine.

Nice pub, beer good but could do with losing Heart FM.

We popped into the Welch Harp last Friday lunchtime and it was quite busy. Smell of fresh paint. I was told that there is a new landlord and things are improving. Then about twenty singers from a local choir came in and the place was buzzing. McMullen's is not my favourite beer but it was OK. The round of sandwiches was excellent. Lots of atmosphere but I could have done without the piped musak. The grave of King Harold II is only 20yds away.

This was aregular haunt for me and my mates when I lived in the area some years ago and ai'm soory to hear about the the lack of customers which I simply can't understand as it was a terriffic little place with bags of atmosphere and good beer.

Use it or lose it . . .

Was very popular when I lived locally (many years ago) but visited last month at lunchtime on a Friday and was the only customer! Sad for a pub with such character and excellent AK.
