Very traditional pub, plush interior, good ales, excellent food both in the bar and the restaurant (but you must book). Not open all day.

this pub has aiways remained in my memory i grow up in this village and went back to see if it had changed unlike most of the village this remains the same wonderful

Ancient Shepherds Pub.
Originally built as three cottages in 1540, the Ancient Shepherds is now a listed building that oozes character. Guest and house ales are always available, and the menu offers food to suit a range of tastes. Telephone: (01223) 293280.
