Well located Greene King pub. It was busy on our sunny Saturday afternoon visit. The garden opposite is on the banks of the River Cam and you can watch boats and wildlife (swans, ducks and cows!) pass by. Watch out for the plethora of cyclists as you cross the road. The pub itself is fairly small. But there is another outdoor seating area to the rear. Service was with a smile, which is always a bonus. Ales were Greene King IPA & Abbot, Morland Old Golden Hen, Roosters YPA & Chesterton Best Bitter. Nice pub in a village-like setting.

Greene King boozer, although as well as the stuff made in Bury St Edmunds, there were also several guest ales on.
Pints of Golden Sheep and Landlord (£3.30 each, from memory) went down well in the beer garden over the road, which overlooks the river.
Can't comment about the food, but would happily return for more beer.

i like where it is. i'd call in if i was in the area. ale was OK when i was there. wifi worked reasonably.

i didn't eat as the food didn't look anything special. sounds like i made a good choice ...

Car outside the Green Dragon was set alight by arsonists last night thankfully nobody was injured in the incident and the fire brigade managed to put the fire out.

Visited the Green Dragon on Saturday May 14th - The food was awful. I sent the Mixed Grill back as it was cold and the 'chicken' like cardboard. Came back hot but the whole meal was useless. Sausage cheap value, chicked dry and hard, eggs hard, gammon dry, steak chewy, chips drab. 2 onion rings OK. Tables sticky. My big regret is that I paid for it.
Staff appologetic and sympathetic. I will not eat there again.
Beer OK
