Car outside the Green Dragon was set alight by arsonists last night thankfully nobody was injured in the incident and the fire brigade managed to put the fire out. hogshead - 18 Oct 2011 21:31
Visited the Green Dragon on Saturday May 14th - The food was awful. I sent the Mixed Grill back as it was cold and the 'chicken' like cardboard. Came back hot but the whole meal was useless. Sausage cheap value, chicked dry and hard, eggs hard, gammon dry, steak chewy, chips drab. 2 onion rings OK. Tables sticky. My big regret is that I paid for it. Staff appologetic and sympathetic. I will not eat there again. Beer OK Deeping - 16 May 2011 11:48
As mentioned below, now under totally new management. I agree: it looks like a change for the worst (no home made food, louder music, less attentive staff, worse-kept ales, less punters). But on balance, it's still a decent place to pop in if in the area, although no longer a destination in its own right. It's still a charming building, so with better management this place could be right up there. JonRambo - 20 Dec 2010 17:19
This pub has changed management recently but unfortunately this pub has not changed for the better. Went for 'Sunday Roast' only to be served a frozen microwaved dinner, couldn't find anything on the plate roasted - awful and a shame. The Green King fast food chain menu is the first clue that your going get something lacklustre. Sticky tables and the ale has dropped in standards. Recently refurbished but still a charming pub. Will travel further afield for a few nice pints and food. GoonerGary - 20 Oct 2010 20:16
Really good pub, good place to go for lunch as the food is excellent and sensibly priced. It's GK but they always have at least one guest ale. Like this place. thaymouse - 3 Apr 2010 19:47
