| Cracking pub which is friendly, has decent regualrs, a well kept house and serves really good ale, all of which can be somewhat of a rarity in Telford (outside of Ironbridge). Anyone visiting Telford for events / work should seriously consider using this as their base during their stay - there is a guest house nextdoor, it is out of the way and is near enough to the train station & motorway to be classed as convenient. Agree with Xopher's sentiments regarding visiting as a drinker; if you find yourself a cosy corner, you are set for as long as you want to be set for. telfordmanx - 31 Dec 2010 13:39 |

| 27-7-2009 Olde worlde Banks's house, Bitter & Mild plus Jennings Cumberland Ale and surprisingly Old Speckled Hen! Reasonable Food though typical pub grub, nothing exceptional. Landlady very keen to ensure everything OK. Decent enough place but won't rush back stevane - 23 Feb 2010 23:06 |
