| Whilst there is nothing really "special" about the pub itself, the location by the lake makes for a pleasant family visit on a sunny day. Yes, I know this site is beer in the EVENING but this is the sort of place one takes parents or family for a inexpensive lunch. The kids have several play areas to distract and the oldies can take a gentle stroll around the lake viewing in the various flora and fauna. A couple of real ales were on offer; the Black Sheep was unfortunately off but was the pint quickly and unquestionably swapped for a decent Pedigree.
