I'm reading the below and to be entirely honest, have found the comments a little harsh - the pub is now The Hop and Rye and have popped in quite a few times for a couple of beers in the last year or so. Found the selection to be good and reasonably priced - havent eaten there so cannot comment. Staff seemed friendly and a lot of locals milling about

Popped in with a friend one Saturday evening as well and had a good laugh, maybe the criticism needs to be reviewed

FYI I am not the manager of the Beech Tree, just a very please customer who is sick of mindless people running the oub down for no reason.

I have no idea who put that awful reveiw on this site, but I can only think they have an axe to grind because since the change of manager, the food has improved to the point where it is a pleasure to eat there now. The atmosphere is friendly and the staff try very hard to please. I think this is the best Pub in Bromley with a strict drug free policy and constant age checks. All sports are covered and I am always in to watch the football. My name is Steve T and I will not hide behind an anonymous handle.

Can't believe the last comment!! This pub has really turned around since the new management couple have arrived. The good old days of charity events and family fun days are back!! I had a brilliant day with my children at the recent Beech Party, there was face painting, a bouncy castle, childrens jelly and lots of games to keep them amused while I had a good day too. You could tell that it has been really well thought out aswell as the cost of things was kept to a minimum, I could easily have gone to the park and spent double just on ice creams!! The evening for the adults was just as good and I've got to say the DJ they have recently had at the most current events is the best that has been in there for a very long time!! The staff are a very friendly bunch who make you feel welcome as soon as you come through the door. The food standard has rocketed in the last few months, the pub had died a death on food because of bad chef after worse chef but now they have some really competent people who are committed to serving good food well presented for a reasonable price. I eat there 3-4 times a week and never have any problems. Definately one to visit!!

Not much to say...could do with a clean inside and out and perhaps more attentive bar staff.

A standard "estate pub". Didnt really want to stay here to see what it was really like.

Note for Barman gain eye contact and if your busy just tell the customer who wants to contribute towards your wages you wont keep them long rather then avoid eye contact at all costs and serve your mate.
