| Would rate this pub much higher if the landlady from hell hadn't shown her face. Two young lads behind the bar working their balls off with a bar full of people trying to get one last drink in. Enter said hag. Help is at hand? Not quite, she starts cashing up one of the tills, thus making it an even longer wait to get served! | Used to live in Blackpool and as the Grapes it was one of the best pints of Tetleys in town.....the theme pub mafia have struck again totally spoilt it and the sign on the wall outside says it all "Pub For Let" no more to be said lilscse - 2 Nov 2006 15:36 |
| It used to be "The Grapes" with decent hand-pulled Tetleys (when Tetleys used to be OK) from the 360 degree centre bar, and it had real character. Then, be jeebers! They nailed a bicycle to the ceiling, shoved some books here and there and, lo and behold, it was an Irish theme pub!
