No good beer. Had half of the back stuff, that was no good either. the place has no atmosphere. Waste of energy even turning your head to look in the window. 1/10 tommyn11685 - 13 Feb 2009 10:00

Having worked at this pub for a nearly a year and a half, i can safely say that this pub is much better than the represenation that most people give it. it is a warm welcoming environment open to everyone from students to OAP's. in regards to the comment about the food order, mistakes happen, but i'm sure there would not have been as huge an uproar as you made out. The staff are fully trained in everything from waiting tables to pouring the perfect pint. Yes the pub has a large amount of the army drinking there but the security there is much better than any of the other pubs in the town. For example, which pub allow 15 year old to drink in the establishments. i know for a fact that we don't! All the bar staff have the backing of the management in such cases. the night life of the pub is as good as any other in the town, and it is a good pub to start your weekends in! anonymous - 12 May 2005 14:12
If you are in the army and like fighting other men who are in the army then this is a good place to go. Also good if you like standing up and being bumped into for an hours or two. I don't like it very much though, and the bogs are always flooded so don't forget your wellies... rico - 29 Apr 2005 16:35
The pub is acctually quite nice, clean and well presented. Its just a shame that the people working there dont seem to be trained in good customer service. They got my food order wrong, which at first they tried to blame on me, one older lady in particular was very rude about the matter, eventually they got it right and I got an appology off the girl who took the order wrong in the first place. It was apparent to averyone in the pub that the staff didnt realy have a clue. One lady couldnt even open a bottle of wine, they were even having ago at one another in front of customers. They could all do with some intensive training on how you should run a pub, they give others who work in the industry a bad name. Will not be going there again. anon - 11 Nov 2004 15:26
