| On approaching I thought the place was closed but it was just dark and gloomy inside. Along with the old style high ceilings and lounge and tap room lay out this pub has a classic old fashioned South Yorkshire feel to it. I was half expecting to see Uncle Mort and Carter sitting amid the gloom supping on a pint. The beer (Royal Ryder) was drinkable but nothing brilliant. | The first pub you come to from the railway station. Has 3 guest ales - the Ringwood Porter was exceptional! The landlord made us very welcome too - a definite to revisit oftenscore6 - 27 Jan 2010 23:28 |
