| Ex-Vaux pub, which then passed ino the cold, dead hands of Admiral Taverns who, predictably, ran several landlords into the ground, closed it and sold off the freehold. Rather more surprisingly, it was bought by someone (no idea who) who actually wanted to re-open it as a pub rather than demolishing it and building flats, and they've done quite a good job on it. Reasonable choice of ales and a good community feel. A very pleasant surprise, and good luck to the owners, whoever they may be. pablos13 - 4 Oct 2008 18:51 |
| Recently re-opened, after a long closed spell. Friendly staff, reasonable choice of drinks, including 2 or 3 Real ales. Beer garden, piped music, Darts and Dominoes teams, quiz night, poker night, accomodation, punters club. A welcome reprieve from oblivion! Barbeera - 1 Oct 2008 15:15 |
