Wandered in early of a Sunday evening, loved the sliding door entrance. The rear bar was heaving with a very jolly party. The bar we were in was cosy with friendly locals. The beer range was not inspiring, but guided by said loacals had an acceptable pint of Castle Eden which was very reasonably priced. KentishScot - 13 May 2012 22:53

Hits the heights of 'alright'. Couple of real ales on, cider is Strongbow only. Gets hot inside (sweating hot), and often is rammed due to being just round the corner from the registrary office. OldhamSheridan - 22 Aug 2010 17:56
Nice old-fashioned place, very clean and tidy with range of ales in good condition. Friendly barmaid (landlady?) who is interested in her customers, even if they are unfamiliar. She seems to run a tight ship - I'm surprised that it can be full of "iffy" people both from my own experience and the news I overheard in another city pub that "so-and-so" had been barred from the Dub Cow. Well worth a visit. Stamfordian - 14 Aug 2010 10:41
Excellent pub, traditional and good beers. Attracts a range of people and has a good whiskey selection too. Top stuff. Robdurbar - 13 Jul 2010 16:52
