Oh dear. Oh deary, deary me. OH DEAR even! What can one say about the Warwick other than that or the following. No wonder the picture above is taken from a side view of the place as the front resembles a re-enactment of the stage set from Big Trouble in Little China done on the cheap. Inside it is like Tenko with nary a sense of authentic foreign climes but just an englishman's notion of the orient. I half expected the barstaff to offer the notion they love me for a very long duration. Which would possibly have been cheaper than their sauce prices but I digress. However even if all of the above wasn't a problem the Warwick's major downfall (apart from being named after a hobbit) is what is it practically opposite? Yes, you guessed it; THE BACK OF BEYOND! 'What were they thinking' is your thought here dear reader. Everything the Warwick isn't THE BACK OF BEYOND clearly is. And nary a Weng-Chiang type in sight. So to summarise; Warwick no thanks, BACK OF BEYOND yes please. Lord_Jason - 10 Apr 2011 12:58
Food really good, beer suffers from being Greene King but reasonable in spite of that. theeternalwheel - 3 Mar 2011 11:22
Agree with the previous review - this is, IMO, the best Thai in Reading. The beer's really good too. They do mid-week specials that make it even more reasonable. Well worth a visit - though it's often a bit on the quiet side. ewand - 17 Jan 2010 21:10
Great Thai food here - I reckon it's the best in Reading and I've had a green curry or two in my time. Had a lovely beef curry - slowcooked - the other day. I love it here, it's a secret discovery. alisonhepworth - 24 Jun 2009 21:08
Very bizarre combo i reckon thai and real ale, but the interior is done up very nice, 6.5/10 fat_beer_badger - 17 Jun 2009 15:29
