| is landlord still blowing his own trumpet on here then? surely there is better ways of advertising the place? chelsea_greg - 28 Jan 2012 13:41 |
| Summerivers, steady on there old chap, I think you'll find we have no whiff-tastic staff in the mighty Back of Beyond. In fact barring one queer fellow who's name escapes me on the patrons side of bar I've nary smelt a bad aroma. Now what was his name, overweight chap, could bore for Scotland. Iain something or other. Can't recall but I'm sure it'll return to me, these things are after-all elementary dear Watson. Mind you I doubt we'll be seeing much of him from now on. Smirk. | Ah, another fine gentleman who has also heard of how much of a HIT this repulsive, putrid smelling cretin is with the females he works with. I have been visiting BoBs for a number of years, since the lovely Maria worked there. I visited this establishment many a year ago, when this half-wit oaf originally graced us with his presence and teamed up with the other feeble excuse of man, Jay. During the time they worked, using the term “worked” loosely here, they bullied the staff whilst being on their high-horses and achieving nothing, apart from a pungent stink from their bodies and aggressive attitudes. When Bradley eventually left, it was the first of two massive improvements that happened at this pub, the second, of course, being when the joke of a manager with the pony-tail left. Now, upon his return, this place can only be described as being up s*** creek without a paddle. Early signs suggest that not only will this creature eventually become some sort of authority due to his very aggressive approach; but all the passable staff will end up leaving. Then what will it be? That’s right. A bigger joke than it already is. I, being the regular customer that I have been for years, especially on match days, am disgusted and appalled by the lack of thought that has gone into bringing this lunatic back, and shall only be returning to this pub again to find out where all their best staff, who have been bullied out, are now working, and will be residing the rest of my days instead at The Lyndhurst. All that boggles my brain is, if it is this bad from the better side of the bar to witness, whilst being in the presence of, and only to hear the stories (be true or not) from other paying customers and the staff themselves, then how are those other side managing; now those need an award. summerrivers - 23 Jan 2012 23:36 |
| This JASON LORD fella is bigging up his own boozer AGAIN! I take it this bar geez they are banging on about is the Ming in there? Tall bloke with a rise and shine barnet only hold the rise! A real HIT with the ladies by all accounts. Smirk. whisky_diet - 23 Jan 2012 22:16 |
| Thank you Colin for your glorious review and return to the best pub in Berkshire; the cheque is in the post! Brad has indeed brought a diversity and dash of culture to Bobs that has clearly been missing as of late. A little known fact is he is a keen Morris dancer and also fronts the acclaimed men's acappella quartet 'Get On Your Camel Son'. They are truly a sight to behold and one is hoping they'll be treating the boards of Bobs sooner rather than later... Lord_Jason - 16 Jan 2012 16:24 |
