Now called "Speakies".

More like a village hall than a pub.

One step up from drinking White Lightning on the street.

The premises where we are, was first opened on April 17th, 1938 exactly 70 years ago as a Cinema called ''The Regal'' - In the 70's it was a Bingo Hall - In the 90's it was a Wetherspoons. Then it was The City Gate. Now in the 21st Century we have done a full circle and have decided to rename the venue ''Regal'' once again, but this time it is one of the largest up and coming Entertainment Pub / Bars in Norwich (a place to be seen), catering to all ages from 18 to 80. The bar offers a large range of spirits, lagers, ales and shooters. On the Entertainment side we have a wide genre on the schedule from Solo/Duos acts, Bands to the usual Pub / Bar entertainment such as Acoustic Music Nights to the most popular Karaoke Nights every Saturday from 8.30pm. The installation of our 20ft Large screen which is mainly used for showing SKY Sports & SETANTA has brought back some of the Cinema Aura. There are 25 Free Parking spaces at night on Heigham Steeet and there is also a secure Council car park next to Barn Road at a cost of 1.60 from 6.30 pm to 5.00 am.
