Good boozer. Very friendly staff and knowledgeable about beers and ciders. All the ale was in tip top condition. The visit was only marred by what can only be described as the local idiot - pointing at any image that moved on the widescreen TV in the corner and making racist, homophobic, and sexist comments. Needless to say, he was sat on his own. A recommended pub, but if you visit and see a man sat on his own talking to a TV make sure you sit at the other end of the bar! Slake - 12 Nov 2008 19:56
Really friendly pub with great beer and a comfortable atmosphere. Doesn't fit the appearance of a traditional pub- as you approach you feel like you're going into a seaside guest house- but once inside it's good news all the way. edchambers - 1 Nov 2008 22:19
Recommended this pub after a visit in April. Enjoyed real ales from Daleside and Wold Top breweries. Appears to be a perfect all round pub to suit all tastes as it has good choice of ales and ciders, and good food too. gillhalfpint - 6 Jul 2008 10:37
Difficult to know how to make this pub any better but that doesn't stop the Landlord & Lady from trying! Real Ale, Real Cider, Belgian Beer you got it. Amzing value for money for what you get. I've seen the hard work that has gone into this pub over the years, nice to see it paying off for them. Abteilung - 1 Jun 2008 19:00
| Super little Real Ale pub independantely run by John & Linda, also Cider pub of the year last year and seller of many belgian beers too, too many beers to mention but a fabulous selection and always changing, regular beer festivals through the winter months, well worth a visit.
