The owners (Heavitree) have put in a planning application to convert it to three residential units. That seems to be the end of another Dawlish pub.

Another notice from the building owner posted outside. Not looking good.

A well hidden little gem of a pub. I have visited Dawlish, probably, hundreds
of times but never fouind this pub. Tucked down a little street close to the Station, along with the Railway. Both pubs having very old style signs streaching across the (narrow) street.

The Exeter has a large menu and Shandy Chica and I both enjoyed the Steak and ale pie. Large portions and very tasty. Really good to proper chips on offer. That is out of a spud, not a bag in the freezer. Well kept pint of Henry's IPA to go with it. Cosy interior with exposed beams and bags of character.
Will definatly be visiting again.

The Exeter Inn is Open, offering a fantastic range of Ales and Food. Local Seafood a speciality and Local Devon Crab. Steak and Ale Pie delicious, good range of Vegetarian dishes too.
