Agree with pub_patron, this is disappointing compared to other Northern Quarter venues oftenscore6 - 10 Feb 2011 23:34
Trof has quite a lot in its favour - an imaginatively renovated building, a good atmosphere, great food and an okay range of bottles. However, the prices are increasingly exorbitant and there still isn't any real ale available. Most of the bottled beers can be found elsewhere in the Northern Quarter. pub_patron - 12 Nov 2010 10:22
This is definitely a 'bar' and not a pub. But it is the real deal I think. Great range of bottled drinks - Coopers Sparkling Ale fron australia I had - and it was nice and cold. Some other bars could learn from this. Good service too from the lady from Liverpool if her boss is reading. dry_riser_inlet - 30 Nov 2009 10:33
Small bare brick style bar with a real buzz. We went in last night at about 4.45, by 5.15 it was full. The main bar doesn’t have any particularly outstanding décor but the little lounge area just to the left of the bar is very snug. A whole array of silver lager fonts greet you as you walk in, I’m not convinced that Staropramen, San Miguel and Frulli are that unusual round here though. It’s OK but not as good as ODD a few doors away. ROBCamra - 30 Jul 2009 15:12
Popped in here for a cheeky one on the way back to my mates place, doesn't stock your usual expectation when it comes to drinks but then again, it's not one to complain about either. Interesting range of draught lagers, a range of bottles that won't be beaten by anyone nearby and an awesome selection of whiskeys and bourbons. Didn't try the food but what i saw looked good and after browsing the menu i am tempted to pop back to sample the delights. Over all, it's an interesting looking place that you wouldn't find if you didn't know it was there, hence there's no idiots or scallies. Definitley one to visit if you're in the area! ra1nw1zard - 27 Jul 2009 19:12
