Cafe-type bar with modern furnishings and set over 2 floors. We chose the upper floor. Kelham Island Pale Rider & Easy Rider were both on. Although the one ale was only available on the upper floor. You're probably assured of a decent beer here. But the drinking environment is a bit too modern for my liking. blue_scrumpy - 25 Sep 2011 15:32
How is this in the Good Beer Guide ? One beer on which wasn't very good - will not be coming back if when I am in Manchester again. mattyd6672 - 5 Jun 2011 08:03
Sorry, pub patron is incorrect. Bluu, yards away, has real ale and it's 30p a pint cheaper there. However, Odd has a changing guest beer and the Mary Rose was good on Saturday. oftenscore6 - 16 Mar 2011 11:07
Pleasant bar and the one place in this part of Thomas Street which offers real ale. It's also cheaper than most of its neighbours. pub_patron - 12 Nov 2010 10:15
Odd Bar is part of a small Manchester grouping (alongside Odder, on Oxford Road, and Oddest, in Chorlton). I've been to Odder, and against my better judgement always thought it was quite reasonable, stocking a couple of decent ales. There was just one in Odd on my visit - Abbeydale Aledritch (£2.95) which was in fair nick. Odd is in much the same vein as its little sister, with bright colours, funky lighting and a vaguely scruffy film-poster decor. Its not bad, and probably one of the better ones in this part of Manchester city centre, but I think I prefer Odder, for reasons I can't quite put my finger on. ChrisP87 - 13 Oct 2010 15:50
