Popped in a couple of times during the day last year and found a really nice pub with a small but decently-served Greedy King range. Inside is quite plush, has a bar billiards table and comfy chairs. Will try and get back over there in the evening to see if it really is the Chavalanche that other reviews suggest. But for now I'll say that I rather like it. Quinno - 18 Feb 2008 23:27
great pub in my opinion, till they got rid of a valued member of staff! now it is slowly going down hill! sad really anonymous - 7 Nov 2007 13:09

Terrible pub which is more or less filled to the rim with scum bags in the evening. If your not a regular be careful the many hard ass prepubesent teenagers may well kick your ass if you smile at them. Full of sad middle aged women who are looking for a good time and make complete fools of themselves when they have had one to many. Food is average, service is ok, manager doesn't take any crap but then again does not mind serving under age 'ass kicking teens'! The place has gont down hill especially since elm park was built and a lot of the regulars have moved on for fear they may get their head kicked in! Only suitable if your a hard ass teen, lost middle aged woman or alcoholic. Its a real shame was once a lovely pub. anonymous - 24 May 2006 12:35
Good backstreet local, better in the day than at night. Beer is very good, Greene King ales kept well. Food looks average to poor, clientele vary from up and coming middle class colonists to ropey junior hard men from the Elm park estate but there is no trouble as bar staff are competent and capable. Recently changed management which reduced the beer quality for a time but it has recently improved again as the staff got their act together. malkymark - 5 Feb 2006 14:44
