Stopped here for the first time in about 45 years on the way home after an exhausting day working on the boat at Portsmouth. Desperately thirsty, my pint of Tribute was fabulous and I would have paid a fiver for the pleasure. (That may seem cheap in 3 years time) Now planning a boys evening out to The Bull and look forward to seeing the same friendly staff and enjoying some fine beer. boozyoldgit - 17 Apr 2012 21:37
En route a walk from Alton to Farnham. Stopped in Bentley village and changed route to walk direct to The Bull. Don't do this! Awful walk along 500yds of dual carriageway. Go to church and walk along lane and paths down to Bull. Nice pint of Tribute, but £3.45. Most expensive drink today. Nice if you drive here in your Merc (as a lot of folk do). alen - 28 Feb 2012 13:09
what a disappointment, took some visiting family for a meal at the Bull, the food was very poor! the beer was average, to be kind! the waiting staff, although pretty! had no knowledge about the food or the wine that we wanted! the toilet area is through the public bar, which on this night was very rowdy and quite intimidating, it seems that the staff are more interested in the drinking locals, shame used to be a fantastic little gem, so many good pubs out there, will be giving the Bull a miss in future. Always tell the truth-man. truthman - 23 Aug 2011 10:55
