Traditional pub, open bar one roomed pub with real fire with a mixed clientele. Pretty good Craic on the whole, there was an Irish "band" of 2, using various instruments, fiddle, guitar with the help of a backing machine for the bass and drums. Folk session on Sunday at 3. Decent beer, Taylors Landlord and Caley Deuchars IPA.

A little lacking in character, the beer was OK, but did not feel welcomed here.

I was enticed in by the afternoon of folk advertised on the poster - unfortunately it had finished. The beer was reasonable, but the atmosphere was a touch "Working Men's Club", which is fantastic for a Working Men's Club but not what I was expecting having been told that it was a great place for live music and lively atmosphere. Will give it another go though.

Great one bar pub alongside the Upper Harbour. Pool available. 4 or 5 real ales available. Good atmosphere. Occasional jamming by local folk group. Very clean. No loud music thank god but gets very busy at weekends but then all pubs in the area do.
