I work locally and and have had on more than one occasion had reason to complain about the lunchtime service. Today was the last straw we ordered food at 1215 Bacon Baguette, Cheese Melt Baguette & Burger & Chips with a bottle of wine....At 1245 the food arrived luke warm... I would not recommend the lunch time service unless you have a 2hr lunch break....When I complained the bar staff offered their apologies and asked if I could wait again .. As I only have 1 hr for lunch this was not an option.... I was then given a cash refund of the returned Burger & Chips .. This is clearly not part of a chain of public houses if so they might be a bit more careful about the lack of customer service they provide.

This is a fantastic place. Nice pub with welcoming atmosphere. The gov'nor is a really nice bloke. But, the real reason I come here is for the steak (when Neil is doing the cooking). It could be the best steak I have had in the world (and I've had quite a few around the world).
