It's a working man's (& women's) club. So therefore it mainly exists to serve cheap alcohol to the overworked and underpaid of Aylesbury. There's a darts and pool team, and they have a fishing club. You won't find any aggro in here, nor will you find a fantastic night out either. But it is good for watching football on the telly and at (currently) £1.35 a pint what more do you want?

Last time I looked there was a waiting list of around three years to join this club ( it is a private club ) so it doesn't really belong in Beerintheevening. That said, if you can find a member to sponsor you, there is no place cheaper in aylesbury to drink good guinness, okay bitter and average lager. Nice back garden.

An overly theatrical mad-scientist's lair of a place this one, with an air of the days of the raj added for good measure. As a lifelong local resident, educated in the borough, I can vouch for the fact that the alumni of Aylesbury schools are often not equipped for working in the service industry. The staff here are often witty and quite sharp; however they have little or no knowledge of beer, pubs, or drinking. If you like your pint served with an insult, this is the place for you.

Cant agree with the last post .This club was originally set up for working people in days gone by .I find the Vic clean, friendly & has a good range of well priced drinks .After all pubs are there to enjoy yourself .

Exclusive club? If you mean full of the don and outs of Aylsbury just after cheap drinks and getting wasted then its exclusive - place to avoid - 40/50 yr old swearing men and overweight women pretending to be 17 again. Not pleasant and wipe your shoes when leaving. 1 point given for the friendly barman Rob
