Mendoza, Aylesbury

Mendoza's seems to be aimed at the post-party crowd as it has quite a pleasant ambience, no really loud music and a decent selection of food. There is a comedy act every weekend, there was live music during the week but this is being discontinued. I'd dare to suggest it's a place to go for those of us old enough to know better but young enough not to want to go home at 11pm.

Bull, Aylesbury

It's one of those rarities nowadays, a pub that is actually a pub, not a glorified McDonalds. Pool table, lounge & saloon bar, decent pint of Adnams (Tetley was OK too). Nothing fancy but then nothing too horrible either. Will probably be ����'s in now that the Woolpack has sadly burnt down.

The Dark Lantern, Aylesbury

not the Dark Lantern anymore, it's called My Place (probably a pun on MySpace) with a view to bringing in the after hours crowd. It might work but it's situation in town, stuck down an alleyway and not much in the way of passing trade, probably won't help, good luck anyway.
