| Will never reopen as a pub. Restrictive covenant so can no serve draught (or even keg) beer even if it reopens as sopme sort of licensed premises. The developer may be in some trouble (financial?) as well as all has gone very quiet.... metrology_man - 12 Jan 2011 08:13 |

| This not closed. Had heard only bad reports about this place but was forced to visit on a Sunday lunchtime to watch a football match. Was pleasantly suprised. Despite being the only ones interested in match, it was put on at our request and curtains closed and volume turned up as we had this side of the bar to ourselves. Barmaid both friendly and accomodating & very proud of her pickled eggs. On the downside, was absolutely freezing and were some shady looking characters in other bar setting up for the evening.
