user reviews of the Vestry Hotel, Chichester

Popped in for a drink with friends a couple of Saturdays ago, but many tables had been cleared away to make room for a dancefloor in front of the DJ desk which meant standing room only. The music was really loud, and the drinks were served in plastic glasses, not great really.

The Vestry has definitely inherited the spirit of the Hogshead, it used to be a really quiet, boring pub but now it buzzes at the weekends, there's cracking music and it's big enough to enjoy a night out with a large group of friends. The queues can be a bit frustrating though, especially when it sometimes seems that the bouncer is letting his friends in in front of everyone else...perk of the job I suppose. Still the best weekend hangout in Chichester!

cannot believe how good this pub has become. full every night and the staff are gorgeous- the old bar manager from the hogs has moved there. it's got the feeling and atmospher the hogs used to have at the weekend but with brilliant live music a couple of nights a week and the food is fantastic. get ther early though cause we had to queue for half an hour on friday at 9pm!
