Popped in for a drink with friends a couple of Saturdays ago, but many tables had been cleared away to make room for a dancefloor in front of the DJ desk which meant standing room only. The music was really loud, and the drinks were served in plastic glasses, not great really. oxenhillshaw - 26 Apr 2010 15:38

The Vestry has definitely inherited the spirit of the Hogshead, it used to be a really quiet, boring pub but now it buzzes at the weekends, there's cracking music and it's big enough to enjoy a night out with a large group of friends. The queues can be a bit frustrating though, especially when it sometimes seems that the bouncer is letting his friends in in front of everyone else...perk of the job I suppose. Still the best weekend hangout in Chichester! anonymous - 6 Sep 2006 12:51

cannot believe how good this pub has become. full every night and the staff are gorgeous- the old bar manager from the hogs has moved there. it's got the feeling and atmospher the hogs used to have at the weekend but with brilliant live music a couple of nights a week and the food is fantastic. get ther early though cause we had to queue for half an hour on friday at 9pm! anonymous - 3 Jul 2006 14:13
