Nice pub, to many beers on offer for what they sell, the chef writes a better menu than he cooks, hedgehog roasted in banana leaves with fennel type of food. Tightfart - 28 Jul 2010 19:55
Good little pub and some good beers. Food was fine but the dreaded oven ready chips still make an appearance! Very friendly blatters2001 - 17 Jul 2010 15:54
Came to the Village last year whilst visiting the area and instantly fell in love with the Pub and the people. Very much like our part of Glostershire. Returned to a let in the village last Feb and used the Pub regularly for drink (Beer Festival) and food. Very welcoming. Cosy little pub (when the doors closed). Great selection of beers. Returned in Oct. to find the formula still the same, but the food very expensive. Starters at £6.5 - £8. Main courses at £15+. Great food, but alot more than what we would expect for good pub food. Maybe its the times. rmjm125 - 29 Oct 2008 18:04

A very friendly local pub “despite the tourists” as one curmudgeon would have it below ;) We went here for Sunday lunch and enjoyed quality food and the view over the common with rare-breed sheep grazing and the countryside. Service is great, the staff and landlord very friendly and a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Out of all the pubs in the area this is one of the few we returned to and weren’t disappointed. Great ales on tap, well chosen wine list and a first rate establishment. ndeezy - 27 Jun 2007 09:07
