| Yes, the food is good if rather pricey. Yes, the waiting staff are first class, smiling and attentive. The meals were served within 30 minutes although the pub was full of evening diners. However, if I am to pay £3.10 for a pint of Pendle Witch, I would actually like a reasonably full pint. After two attempts to top it up, it was still half an inch short with a lot of beer wasted. | We stopped for Sunday lunch on route. The pub was full and very busy. We received a pleasant welcome from the very competent young lady serving the bar. My London Pride was excellent. Our order was taken efficiently. We didn't have long to wait and our roast was one of the best. We enjoyed our meal in the garden because all the tables inside were full. Nice clean toilets. | We have lived in the area for over 45 years and never been in this pub, food was recommended by a friend so we booked a table for four. Fantastic food, good service and good real ale. We would recommend this for value, service and menu choice. magicthehorse - 15 Jul 2007 17:45 |
