This pub seems to be on the slide. Visited on a Saturday on a pub crawl around Gt Missenden. The worst of the 4 pubs we went in and the most expensive, same round of drinks £3 more than the next expensive. Glasses not clean, one drink had to be returned, just tipped in to another glass - no fresh drink. Table we sat at sticky & dirty. Would not want to eat in this place.

Flowers in good shape, Black Sheep, Pride had gone. Space restricted but good country feel at bar and friendly country lass behind it, room to rt has large inglenook with wood-burning grate, dartboard in corner. Larger area to left has more seating, tables of varying sizes, fireplace at far end with old wood burning stove, out-of-place fruit machine and tv where we vaguely watched our brave boys’ scintillating first half performance ystdy, haha. I liked it, but you’d want another pub on your list to justify the journey (we took a cab to Little Missenden, £7).

Bucks County Council Pub of the Year 2008 (and 2nd in the children friendly category). Large garden, 3 real ales with a varying selection, friendly staff and locals, and the bonus of a ballooning field! Great in the warm evening's with hot air balloons taking off.

Pleasant welcome, well-kept bitter (Black Sheep/Pride), clean old style interior with stone flagged floor in one bar and boards in the other. I discovered this place a number of years ago as an outstanding venue for a reasonably priced Sunday lunch and have continued to patronise it since. Always a couple of choices at least and plenty of it..! The 'Pub Crawl Crew' have visited on a few occasions as well; always good beer quality. It also has the accolade of having been selected as one of the few venues for one of our all-evening 'One-Pub Pub Crawls' .. a coveted honour indeed..!
