Popped in today about 1130 and had a nice pint of Doombar, shame that Enterprise Inns don't let them stock any local beers, especially as Sharps are now owned by Moulson Coors. Dogs appreciated the rest. Worth a visit. Can be rancidly busy in the Summer.

Since my last review, I have been lucky enough to spend many hours in this pub. It really is one of the very best pubs that England has to offer in my experience.

I can be heaving in the summer and practically empty in the winter. But all year round you'll get a good welcome, lovely food and top ale.

Being where it is it's quite touristy and a must for the boating crowd on the Thames and is therefore not cheap.

In my mind, it's often worth paying a little more for a good experience and the Trout never falls short of expectations.
It's one of the best small venues for Jazz and other music in a very wide area (several counties).

Great pub, very busy in summer, but who minds that when you can sit by the river in the sun. (lets hope we get some this year) Lovely cosy bar in winter with heart warming stews and traditional grub. Well kept beers, only 2 in winrter, but 3 in summer according to friendly bar lady. Live music on the last night night we went, with a fantastic young band who apparently had some link to Steve Winwood of Traffic fame. Good all round pub. Bit pricey on food compared to other places in village but you get what you pay for - can't fault sunday roast

Nice traditional pub in a good riverside location. Food consistently good but pricey.

Friendly service. Gets packed at the weekend in summer, but in quieter times can be a great pub to relax in and let the world go by.

No local ales unfortunately, but some excellent Cornish beers (Doombar). Guinness a bit variable.

Highly recommended.

Great pub for a Summer sunny afternoon, try going when the steam fair is on in june. Regular jazz sessions, not tried the food, seems to be a Sharpes Brewery outlet these days, but beer is always good. Not in Lechlade, about 1 mile walk down the Faringdon road.
