Great pub, spent many a happy hour there, lovely atmosphere, comfortable seating, nicely served real ales, nice decour, classy "old pub" interior, friendly staff nad clinetele, walls full of signed photos of famous (or once famous!) people who have played at the theatre.

Can get extremely packed if there's a popular show on at the theatre, but a top, 'proper' pub all the same. Friendly barmaids, a few eccentric regulars, top beer [ 2 or 3 changing cask ales] the unwitting cabaret of darts matches taking place amongst the post-Rocky Horror Show crowd will live in the memory for a while. Central but off the knobhead circuit.....what more do you want?

These are my favourite kinds of pubs. Family run, warm welcome, traditional, good ales and a hearty warm meal. Theatre crowd were in, very friendly.
