| I used to avoid this pub as it had a bit of a rough rep but over the last year or so I have been pleaseantly suprised. The bar staff are friendly and familiar the drinks are reasonably priced and although it is not really a cocktail kinda place they are happy to have a bash at them and they are more often then not spot on. There is a pool table and a juke box but nobody fights over them and therefore you can enjoy a game. There a big squashy chairs by an open fire for a cosy drink with a group of mates or a more secluded area at the back for a quiet private drink. Open mike nights and Karoke entertain those looking for something a bit more lively. A rooftop beer garden is avaliable in the summer.
