One of my favourite pubs....and a short hop from the M40. Why anyone would go to a service station when this is five minutes off the motorway is a mystery to me.

Having aqquired a dog within the last year, walking has had to become a necessary part of life. And aren't I glad too! This smashing pub ticks all the boxes..dog friendly..easy parking..great walks..and the beer was perfect (Brakespears Special as guest) and the food was 10/10..But don't call the barmaid/landlady JANET !!

Very friendly pub, quite small and gets very busy during lunchtime, but lovely food and beer. Quite restrictive serving times. Very good pub to remember if you're travelling on the M40 and need lunch (when the pub is serving). Small play area in the garden for kiddies and fairly child-friendly but no baby-changing facilities.

Cracking old pub, has been in the Camra Good Beer Guide every year apart from one when the landlord changed some years back. You are almost guaranteed a consistently good pint and the food is recommended. prices are a bit heavty mind you, but then thats this part of the Country for you, it's the same down south, i can assure you of that.

Lovely Pub, friendly landlord, beer above average.
But £7.80 for 2xpints, 1 bag nuts & 1 (small) bag scratchings?

Welcome to middle England!!
