Lovely cosy country pub with comfy chairs and an open fire.

Been here a couple of times recently and had really good pie and a fabulous carvery for Sunday lunch.

The new managers have really made a huge difference and are really welcoming, going out their way to make sure our dog did not miss out on treats!

really nice pub. very pretty building set in a lovely part of the world. the bar area is spacious and open yet cosy. the food area is a seperate room which is also great as too many pubs are just gastropub/restaurants nowadays.

very friendly staff and a friendly bunch of regulars made this an excellent stop whilst passing through. will definatly stop again

Visited the Cherry Tree earlier this month, and since the previous review on this pub it has now undergone some huge changes, as far are managemnet are concerned anyhow.

The new Chef Rob has a lot to offer and although I do agree that it is modern inside, it's also clean and tidy...and very friendly. I thouroughly enjoyed my med veg crostini, with a loverly pesto and haddock fish cakes with new pots. I over endluged but was not made to feel guilty in the slightest by only paying 10 for the lot plus glass of plonk!

I f you're a foody like me it's a must visit.

Pretty good pub really, has been done up recently and is probably slightly too modern for a village pub, however the atmospehere is convivial and the ale was pretty good. Food is cooked by the french chef Christian but the prices are not too bad for this area of Oxfordshire, it's only about 5mins from Jnc 6 of the M40. definitely worth a visit, but don't expect it to be your typical rural gem inside, if you want that, then The Leathern Bottle at Lewknor or The Red Lion at Chinnor are your best bets, they are only 5 mins from Kingston Blount.
