A very friendly and welcoming pub offering both really nice Oxfordshire Brewery ales and very nice coffee (well, that's I was drinking on my last visit). The landlord and lady work really hard to create the right atmosphere and I think they're succeeding! sloe_jane - 20 Jun 2009 15:21
Local outlet to the nearby Oxfordshire Ales brewery but the last two times I was there they only had Greene King IPA which I'm told the locals like - shame, support your local brewer. Friendly couple behind the sports bar (i.e. TV and pool table) with usual bar flies in attendance. There is a seperate room for eating. Nice pub, beer range a bit 'confined' and erratic - blame the locals! Booze_Allen - 22 Oct 2008 20:07
Had one of the best pints here...well a few actually. The beer 'Ploughman's Pride' is brewed to the landlord's recipe by the village brewery (Oxfordshire Brewery)and was very good indeed. With bar lunches at £8.99 for two this is a pub that is making a big effort and deserves support from the village and further afield. mally - 26 Apr 2008 12:37
Looks a really nice pub from the outside. Not so good on the inside. Beer is average in quality and price. Not had food there. Staff can lack attentiveness. Some ales but not a big selection. anonymous - 26 Sep 2006 16:08
Sells some of the beers from the Oxfordshire Ales brewery. Not really to my taste, but the pub itself is fairly nice, and situated in some lovely countryside. Pretty spacious too, with comfy chairs! Quinno - 28 Jun 2006 22:51
