Large Marstons pub done out in the Baronial style i.e. lots of dark wood posts and orbs but kept cleaner than most. Only Pedigree and Marstons Bitter on pumps both of which tasted just alright. Not many in at 4pm Saturday may be the awful music keeps them away. I know lots of this type of Marstons pub and most are pretty good. This one has away to go yet. bee578 - 25 Oct 2008 17:15
The pepperpot is a superb place to eat or drink, i would be happy to take my wife, children or the whole family there. Sean and Robyn have transformed this pub over the last 12 months. It is now a clean friendly local pub, serving good food and traditional real ale. Well done!! anonymous - 4 Oct 2007 11:14
This Pub is run by 2 very dedicated people whpo are doing their best with the small budget they have been given. The food is great and most customers return again and again and leave feeling satisfied. The atmosphere is wonderful with darts, poker and quiz nights coupled with highly rated entertainment. The Landlord and Landlady are well respected amongst the community. HollyK - 12 Sep 2007 00:09
tried this pub again and sadly it was worse. one hour wait for food and we were not alone in this. place was dirty, rude staff and poor service. anonymous - 4 Sep 2007 08:12
Not sure the people running this pub really want to be there. They are rude and unfriendly and the service is slow. Meals are not served all day as they advertise, and i have found the full menu not always avalible. Bouncy castle for the kids is often not blown up till after one and so is wet, the children just get wet and dirty. Shame that this pub could be such a winner if only the landlord and lady wanted it to be. anonymous - 13 Aug 2007 11:23
