user reviews of the Seacourt Bridge Inn, Oxford

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

The clientele gave this largish boozer a 'Cowley High Street' feel (c.f. The Nelson and The William Morris) - one man even had tattoos on his head - but punters aside, The Seacourt offers reasonable beer and reasonable food in a setting that borders on Victoriana, with some fantastic smoked glass, ornate lighting and carved wood. Slightly reminiscent of The Bull & Gate in Kentish Town in its own way and the small 'dining snug' to the left of the main bar is a nice touch.

We actually do serve Banks's Bitter still and Pedigree along with a weekly guest ale. Pop in and try our new range of single hop ales from around the world.

I used to drink here when it sold Bankss'beers (some time ago now I must admit). What's on offer these days?

Nice pub being just a couple of metres away from the S1/S2 bus stop so handy for a trip into Oxford. Small but good selection of main stream real ales. Competent but not spectacular.

Some nice internal features, but a largely unspectacular pub. Not particularly welcoming, unremarkable drink selection. Not somewhere you'd make a point of visiting.
