| What a DUMP!! I was there on 16/11/08 as a friend was DJ'ing and am happy to say i'll never go again. I always forget how utterly awful the place is! The staff would rather not be there and don't want to serve you. When you finally get served they get your drink wrong! I thought a double vodka, lime and soda was fairly straight forward! I bought a round of drinks and got ripped off!! 2 double vodka lime and sodas a double vodka and coke and a double gin and lemonade (which got soda instead) £28!?! Should have been £18. Then you speak to a person who is supposed to be in charge who looks like something out of 28days who more or less says "so!" Don't waste your time or money there. apoll0 - 16 Nov 2008 14:01 |
| The music in this pub has been first class everytime i've been in. It's a shame, then, that the staff there treat the punters like garbage. Possibly the rudest bar staff I have ever encountered in London (and there is some stiff competition), in particular the landlady/manager/ whoever she is. Plus they search your bags as you go in, cram as many people in as possible and generally treat it like a nightclub, rather than a tiny PUB, which is what it is. Worst example of p**-taking, trendy London i've come across in a long time. And they don't even serve particularly nice beer. | Although originally a pub the George spent some years as a leather goods wholesaler, a common feature of E1/E2. Now well pretentious with a poor range of beers but definately well 'cool' and has some interesting interior features, some original some not.
