Visited here recently, found four ales in excellent condition, and the staff or licenees were friendly. The pub was nowhere near as busy as it used to be for a Thursday evening but then, what pub is these days since the introduction of the government and CAMRA supported smoking ban. pivovar - 20 Apr 2010 22:01
more than impressed when i visited the place last month while waiting for a train(saved waiting with the chav fare-evading scum on the platform!) A welcoming slightly chavvy barmaid greeted me,and opted for a pint of Bombardier(£2.60), one other ale was available. Who would have thought that it would be one of the best kept pints of Bombardier that i had ever sampled! good jukebox aswell with 5trax 4 £1. 6/10 fat_beer_badger - 18 Sep 2009 02:04
Visited The Coopers for the first time in a year or so last week. Sad to see a place decline so fast. The staff were slow, rude and frankly looked unclean. Very few of the regulars who used to use the place still there. The beer was poor, and resulted in me feeling unwell the following day. Sad to say, but avoid at all costs. mikegtn - 21 Aug 2008 08:43
well worth avoiding. It used to be a favourite with the camra boys tho' I could never understand why. If you're waiting for a train at the nearby station it's better to just stay where you are. chopin - 30 Apr 2008 17:31
with it being situated 100 yards from the railway station, that is the best thing i can add to this pub,i must add the ale quality was of poor standard and with bar staff more intrested in tv or their mobile phones, getting served here is a work of art in itself.avoid it really. mattchapman - 20 Apr 2008 10:50
