You can usually count on a good pint of Tiger from Everard here. The little courtyard area is quite nice. therivierakid - 20 Aug 2007 12:03
Nice old thatch building by the market place. Called in but all the cask ales had been drunk dry. This might have been due the fact that it was the bulldog rally bikers weekend! Didn’t stay. One for another day, I think? reynard - 14 Aug 2007 13:26
I used to work in this pub whilst doing my A levels, and it was fun and lively then. Obviously, there's the odd few oldies who prop up the bar, but I totally agree that so much more could be done. PLEASE will someone with the time and cash buy it and turn it into the true olde England pub that it should be?! LucyMeredithPutney - 8 May 2007 09:42
Had a great pint of Shakesbeer's Taming of the Brew in here. Bit quiet and empty when I was in but the wood fire was lit and the chavs outside were providing ample entertainment. therivierakid - 20 Nov 2006 17:11
This publ could be so much more. Looks great on the outside but the inside is in dire need of a revamp. The 2 halves of the pub are the drinkers bit and the food bit. You'd expect a big roaring fire in there on cold nights, but generally you don't get such things. So sad that the manager couldn't manage their way out of their own clothes as this pub has so much potential it's untrue. anonymous - 3 Oct 2006 16:20
