Not much of an atmosphere and the most disinterested, unfriendly staff in the town! Poor!

Me and two of my friends decided to eat lunch here a few weeks ago and we could not believe the lack of standards here. We thought it looked like a nice place to enjoy a meal, however the service was extremely unprofessional, we were made to wait at the bar to order our food and when the food came it came in stages and some of the main meals were brought out whilst two of us hadn't evem finished our starters. The food we actually ordered was rather appalling to say the least and when we asked to speak to the manager about it we were told it was all down to 'personal preference' and that we were not entitled to any kind of refund. We felt extremely cheated and were extremely angry at the way we had been treated as we had never experienced this kind of service before.
I would not recomment this pub for food or beverages as the staff are inconsiderate, rude and the food is unacceptable.

Lovely pub but do expect a few cheers of 'rah rah rah we're going to smash the oiks!'
Everyone in here acts like they own a luxury yacht!
A bit flash and it gets very busy.
The music appears to be nothing but Jazz, mmm nice and the DJ occaisonally plays the bongos (?)
Having said that I will go back.
:-)

Went in here for a few beers before getting train home to Edinburgh

Was about 730 on a Saturday and was laid back with a good atmosphere. Loses a point for the Guinness being off!

Always liked this place. Whenever we go drinking in Newcastle we definitely stop in here for a few everytime and with the club downstairs it's not a bad place to end up at either. Drinks are of usual price and they have a decent door policy it seems as there isnt usually too many nutters in there.

Nice work.
