First time in here since the makeover which I think has been well done, (including nice toilets). Mainly an eating establishment but seems drinkers are also welcome. We had a good value lunchtime meal at a table looking out to the harbour. Friendly staff in this Hall & Woodhouse pub. Badger and Tanglefoot on draught. Tanglefoot in reasonable nick. brianagain - 17 Jan 2012 21:24

I know that it has been referbished in the last year. It's still ok, but I prefered how it was before. And what's with the outside brickwork painted light blue? Craig Alexander I HAVE MY LIFE (www.ihavemylife.com) craigalexander - 28 Sep 2011 21:22
Really really disappointing. Establishment looks nice (like slightly above average pub) from the outside, and the menu also looked okay. Me and my friend went upstairs about 8pm on a weekday ready for dinner, got up there, saw several empty tables with place settings for 4. We weren't told how long the wait would be for the next table for 2, and basically told to go away. What a undeservedly pretentious place. Can you imagine a pub with cheap pub food turning customers away. I'm glad they turned us away, we found somewhere much nicer than that for dinner, and wont be going back. circlesnspirals - 20 Jul 2011 23:16
Very quiet when I popped in here admitedly it was after 22:00 but it is a big popular pub and it was easter week. There were only three other people in here when my mate went in. We had a pint of BAdger 4% Bitter (which was very nice) but there was no atmosphere. Competition is fierce in Weymouth and although this pub is busy during the day, seems to be loosing out on the evening trade. However having said that it is early in the season and the cost of drinks does not help. Bitter_Man - 11 Apr 2010 00:32
