A bit scruffy inside, but a good cheap baguette and baked potato, and a decent pint of Bombardier. Friendly service.

Quite a nice pub. You could stay away for 10 years and on your return see the same regulars

Lovely traditional old pub in a village-like part of Hatfield very close to Hatfield House. The pub features in the Dickens book 'Oliver Twist' - not much here can have changed since the 1830s.

This place is better now it's had a makeover. It does food again now, although the options are pretty limited, and I wasn't impressed with my steak. It doesn't do *any* vegetarian mains, the only thing it really does that is vegetarian is cheese sandwich. It appeared to have a jukebox, although I don't know if anyone was actually using it or if it was the choice of the bar staff but they had early 90s dance on the other day.

I would say, if you want a good meal, go to the Horse and Groom round the corner, but if you want a pint try here, I think it's better kept and has a good selection of bar nibbles.
