| This is a decent enough pub with a saloon bar with plenty of seating and a public bar with darts and bar billiards. There is limited seating outside the front of the pub and I’m sure that in 1787 when the pub was built there was a better view than a Waitrose car park. The barmaid was very nice and after some confusion over whether I wanted Harveys Best or Courage Best I had a nice pint of Harveys. I will recommend this place even though the Lamb Inn and Counting House are so close. Strongers - 12 Aug 2008 13:59 |
| I visited this pub for a folk night and was really impressed. I've been going back regularly now. Ale is kept to perfection. Atmosphere is always chilled and friendly. Greg & Kim work this pub fantastically and deserve a bucket load of credit for the hard work they do - wonderful people, perfect for the pub. Lots of regulars who are nice people and easy to get on with. I really reccommend this pub - brilliant music venue. folkie - 2 May 2008 10:24 |
