Yet again the landlord of this gorgeous building has put the prices up and yet again the ay he does it he flys of to australia. Not really surprised but atleast the customers once again know they are paying for it, this must be the 4th time its happened. No wonder the pub is mostly empty during the week

One of my favourite Sussex pubs - recently ate there with a friend early evening Tuesday. The Haddock in ale batter & chips went down a treat. Staff were friendly, as was the landlord.
The Harveys in this pub is always well kept too, so I felt it only fair to indulge in a couple of pints...

Great building but seriously over priced . Recent new landlord who is always abroad ,staff very cocky as a result .
circ 1180 pub that has been done up by julian clary lookalike (local council should look how this LISTED building has being treated)
Food £10.00 for a burger i kid you not , Carling £3.70 a pint need one say more apart from spend your money wisely ,SOMEWHERE ELSE.

I occasionally go to Eastbourne and would have reccommended The Lamb previously, but it has been degraded to a remarkable degree as I discovered recently after having not visited it for a few years. The interior has been altered out of all recognition and is grotesquely at varience with the ancient history to of the establishment which originated in 1180. It has all the ambience of a down-market pub in the East end of London and I honestly don't know how they got permission to do such damamge to such an historic building.
