Went here with the girlfriend a few weeks ago. Service was good and all staff were cheerful and polite. Wine was only as expensive as you'd expect for the area. Even though we were in there from the best part of 9 till 10.15 we only saw 4 other people in there which seemed a little strange for such a nice bar on a friday night.

Will have to go back and try the food sometime.

Checked it out for Sunday lunch. A little dissapointed to be honest. It felt a little confused, was it a pub, was it a restaurant?

The service wasnt great, pretty rude to be honest. Our mains arrived before our starters. then they tried to offer the same mains once we had finished our starters i sent mine back but it took alot of explanation.

In fairness once all that had been sorted the food was nice. And it is reasonably priced at £8.50 for the roast the only thing i would say is that the gravy was a little like tar...but some people like their gravy thick i guess...

Would I go back, not if that guy was still working there!

A great little gastro pub!
Food was really good especialy the pork fillet with black pudding.
The ideal place to have a drink with friends, a meal with your girlfriend or to watch the football with your mates!

The Rose and Crown was pretty empty when I was in there a couple of weeks ago. It was a bit of a neck strain watching the football from the sofa in front of the plasma screen, but the lager was good and the staff were very friendly.

The place is very bright and airy, but it does feel like a small bar attached to a restaurant, rather than a pub with an eating area.

A good place for a drink and some food, but not one for a good old knees up.

Fantastic. Beautifully done out inside - smart but still a traditional pub. The food is excellent and not overpriced and service is always with a smile. I agree with the guy below - try the goulash!
