Very spartan interior the last time we visited. I think they had just installed a big TV and we were able to catch the end of the tennis.

The pub is run by a friendly and efficient Vietnamese (I think) family and there's music from local people in the bar once a month - a great evening. Good atmosphere, Greene King IPA and Adnam's Broadside. Both in great condition and very drinkable. Friendly locals.

I visited this pub recently and it is defiantly somewhere I will be going back to. It has bags of character and in a lovely location. I know that it has been taken over by a couple in the last few months which may be the reason for the older reviews being so negative, as my visit was very recent I can't comment on what it was like before, but it certainly seems to a lovely pub, and it's not often I would praise public loo's but theirs were very clean, just like the rest of the pub. Can't wait to visit again.

New Lord and Land Lady lovely couple, pub seems to be going in the right direction at last. Locals are really friendly in there and did not notice spikey haired kids running around or stale food on the floor in fact it was a very pleasant suprise when i walked in, clean and a nice atmosphere.

Despiter signs to the contrary on a recent visit there were spikey haired kids running through the pub. There were bits of old food scattered around the floor and yes, a fair amount of swearing at the bar.
