| A couple of years ago this country pub, known locally as the Chippies, was renowned for its excellent 'silver service' restaurant - I used to eat here two or three times a week. However a couple of years down the line and a couple of changes of landlord later we popped in again today. Very warm welcome and the beers were in excellent condition - St Austell's Tribute was a cracking pint and also on offer were 6X and Otter Bitter. The menu is now nowhere near as adventurous as before, indeed it was simple pedestrian pub grub, but quite expensive. BobOs - 18 Oct 2008 15:59 |
| 1 of those 'improved' pubs of the 70's...so naturally it's a bit tired and old hat now. like a thousand others you'll find all over the place...beer is the usual SW-ish large brewery stuff, so bland and ordinary. .......otherwise, its average. alehouses - 11 Dec 2007 14:37 |
