Description
This 17th century traditional coaching inn, the only remaining pub in the beautiful historic village of Guilsborough,
with its thatched roof, well maintained terrace gardens
and country courtyard dressed in hanging baskets and window boxes is the perfect place for an evening in the countryside.
Steeped in local history and royal connections The Ward Arms is the buzzing
centre of the community. With an excellent range of well kept real ales
mostly from our award winning micro brewery (easyily viewed from the courtyard), natural real ciders and the finest local produce sourced for our traditional fare. Our restaurant is relaxed much like the landlord and landlady who offer a friendly open welcome.
Our chefs are focused on simple traditional home cooked food with quality and customer satisfaction their aim.
Make some time for yourselves, take a walk round the local reservoir, breath the country air or just simply come and relax with us at the Ward Arms.

Really friendly community pub in a gorgeous village (one of many hidden from the A14 around here). Good beer range even if I'm not sure about Nobby's own. Visit. mtaylor40 - 10 Jan 2008 23:17
Congratulations to the new landlord and landlady for doing such an excellent job. The beers are good, the food is hearty and there's a very pleasant, welcoming atmosphere. Apparently, the landlord's other pub, in Kettering, has just won CAMRA's regional pub of the year award, for the second year in succession. With plans to build a micro brewery behind the Ward Arms, perhaps this will be a contender for next year's prize? j_w - 5 Oct 2007 15:58
Congratulations to Nobby and Kate, the Ward Arms is now in the 2008 Camra Good Beer Guide, well deserved. jimmery - 12 Sep 2007 13:50
Having once again visited the Ward Arms, to sample Nobby`s real ale, I found Paul & Kate busy giving the restaurant a make over. The new dart board looks ok Nobby, and the pool table is better for the new lights. detectingdave detectingdave - 25 Jul 2007 07:57
