Grubby dive, lousy over-microwaved food and to cap it all, they refused to play the sound for the football. Get's a one for the prices (otherwise zero). mdct - 11 Mar 2008 14:36
VIDI, VICI, VENI. Monty eat your heart out. Loved by all. good vibe. 4 point hourly strategy on cooking or fighting larger. THE most friendly bar staff / pool table + glitter ball. Top pub. A truly unique experience. anonymous - 2 Mar 2007 15:16
Yes it is a dodgy pub with the most dodgy people, but hey when you finish work at midnight at the local bar, and you want cheap drinks and a laugh at the local trash its all in good fun, the staff are lovely and the drinks are dirt cheap, its very tacky but a laugh and a lot of fun. anonymous - 23 Feb 2007 22:02
Last time I went here there was a sad, lonely man in his 50s dancing on his own in the corner, totally drunk. I can imagine this was how Ebeneezer Scrooge felt when he saw the ghost of christmas future. Great pub for people watching, if the people you like to watch are the terrifying dregs of the city. It's the sort of place that fills up when every other place has shut, so don't bother going before 11pm, if you bother going at all. The_Rotter - 24 Oct 2006 11:20
Like The Monument across the road, The Britannia is another pub I used to occasionally frequent when working in the area and like the other pub, it hasn’t changed. The sometimes-enticing music you hear as you walk down into the entrance, unfortunately leads to a rather bland and soulless bar. I’ll give this pub a 5 because the isn’t anything inherently wrong with it, it’s just not particularly good either. HTM69 - 16 Aug 2006 22:31
